Learning Difficulties
There are also schools in the area which cater for the individual needs of Young People with Learning Difficulties.
Castle Hill High School is a day, co-educational special school for children with complex learning difficulties and related special needs. It is located in the North of Stockport on the Stockport-Tameside border close to the Reddish Vale Nature Park. The building is light, spacious and airy with use of the extensive facilities of the Lapwing sports and community Centre.
The school itself has very good facilities which include a science laboratory, computer suites, technology facilities, art room and a library/resource area.
At Castle Hill High School we base our philosophy around meeting the needs of all our pupils. We endeavour to offer a curriculum which is relevant and worthwhile, preparing our pupils for further education, employment or training on leaving school.
